Get a referral: You have the right to switch cardiologist. Try to get your primary care doctor to give you a referral to a new cardiologist. If the new cardiologist is in the same group as the old one that might be difficult as many have policies to prevent that.

Your choice: Doctors work for you, not the other way around. Talk to your primary care physician and work together to find a cardiologist you can trust.
