Everyone's different: Studies do show that people who sleep less than 7-8 hours a night tend to have higher bmi's (are fatter). However, everyone is different. Even if many people eat more if they sleep less, some people will "eat the same amount" and other people will "eat less" when they sleep less. It's likely partly genetic and partly related to all the other things going on in a person's life.
