Normal: Swelling is common in leg and foot anfter lowerxtremity surgery. Elevation usually helps. Check with your surgeon just in case.

Foot swelling: Lower extremity swelling following knee surgery is not uncommon especially if the knee procedure was involved, a tourniquet was used and the operating time was long. Nonetheless, your surgeon should have you carefully evaluated for deep vein thrombosis (blood clot).
