Get it examined: Some infections are not so bad and will heal with time. Others especially on the finger need to have antibiotics, and sometimes need to be lanced open to let the infection drain out of the finger. If the infection is not getting better in 24-48 hours it is best to see a doctor that can give it the proper treatment.
