Eye doctor needed!: If the swelling is truly allergic it should have gone away by now. Several days of swelling of the lids or eyeball could mean something more serious, like perhaps an infection. See an ophthalmologist.

Swollen eye: Eyelid swelling often ocurrs due to allergic reaction. The anihistamine should help but may take a while. I would recommend cool compresses or icing the swollen lids to speed up the resolution of the swelling. You can also ask you eye doctor to consider a short course of topical steroid. If you know what caused this reaction, i would avoid re-exposing yourself or the swelling will come back.
