My mom eye lids are swelling up her left eye started on monday, closed up on her, we've applying benadryl (diphenhydramine) to her eye. now her right eye. what's next?

Eyelid swelling: could be due to an allergic reaction to one of her regular medications or infection such as a stye. Apply a cool cloth over closed eyes for comfort and call her doctor right away. This can become serious in some cases, depending on the cause.
