I think so.: If your doctor checked you for pregnancy and told you its "normal" , in my judgement it means you are not pregnant. Or else he should have informed you specifically that your pregnancy test is positive. You cn double check with your doctor.

Depends: If the test was done more than one day after a missed period, you are unlikely to be pregnant.
