Yes: Liposarcoma tends to grow locally and in some instances has a high likelihood of recurring after surgery. It can also metastasize or spread distantly to sites such as the lung. In cases with limited spread of the tumor to other organs this can be addressed through another surgical resection. Consider discussing with a surgical oncologist or surgeon who specializes in these tumors.
