Yes: Depression or "adjustment disorder" is common with any cancer diagnosis. Also treatments, frequent doctor visits, and the effect on friends and family can lead to depression. Brain tumors may also involve actual brain functions as well. A support network of friends, family, medical team and counselors is helpful.

Depression: There are many people who may have a predisposition to depression. Having a tumor in the meninges doesn't necessarily mean that one will develop depression. It depends on your personality, inner strengths, and environmental supports.
