Almost all meningiomas are considered benign and do not necessarily need surgery unless growing and compressing the brain. Calcification is a sign of chronicity and suggests a lack of change over time. If you are concerned, request a meeting with a neurosurgeon and discuss the pros and cons of a craniotomy.
