Hernia infection : You will need to see your surgeon to evaluate it and see if culture from the wound can be obtained and specific treatment prescribed.

Reoperation?: If you had a mesh or permanent sutures placed, they may need to be removed in order to get the wound to heal. Best to see your surgeon for a follow up exam. If that is already being done, and not helping, consider a second opinion from another general surgeon. Hope this helps!
