After having my now 1yr old i had a hernia behind my belly button and didn't think much about it but now if i bend down to get something off the floor it feels like a stabbing pain in my stomach could they be related?

By definition. a hernia is movement of tissue/organs into areas where they do not belong. If you have a hernia it may change position with your various body movements. Tissue can slide &/or become trapped. This could trigger pain. You may want to discuss this with your doc. If it begins to alter your life you may need to have it fixed sooner rather than later.
