Treat infection: Diverticulitis is an infection of small out-pouches that form on the outside of the colon or large intestine. Needs to be treated with antibiotics. Prevention can be eating healthy high fiber foods, avoid white bread, rice, noodles, junk food & fast foods. Avoid constipation, drink plenty of liquids.
