Are there any meds that help you get over ocd?

Yes: Obsessive compulsive disorder is effectively treated with commonly-used anti-anxiety medications such as ssris, which are first line. These include: fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, sertraline, and paroxetine. Clomipramine belongs to an older group called tcas and is also used for ocd. There are a number of other medications that can be added off-label to augment the effect of these medications if needed.

Yes: Ocd can be treated with psychotherapy as well as medications and the best results often come from a combination of the two. Medications will reduce the symptoms while psychotherapy can address root causes and the cognitive restructuring needed for change to take hold.
