? Carpal tunnel?: The thumb and forefinger are innervated by the median nerve. If the nerve is compressed at the wrist, tingling and numbness may develop especially at night. Pathology in the neck or brachial plexus may be the cause. A thorough neurological evaluation would be appropriate.
