Possibly: If it is a very small fracture and you have a very high pain threshold. Have it checked out and get x-rays. That would be a good start.

Yes: Talus fractures can occur in people who have neuropathy which hides the injury because they can not feel the pain that is usually associated with it. Sometimes swelling is the only symptom that something is wrong. Most common cause of neuropathy is diabetes. It can cause deformity requiring surgery often an ankle or pantalar fusion.
