I have aggressive peridontal disease. are extractions my only option?

Depends: A detailed clinical and radiographic examination will be required to assess the severity of your periodontal disease. Your treatment options, including extractions, will be dependent upon the severity of your problem.

Periodontal Disease: You should have a complete and thorough clinical examination and a full set of radiographs (x-rays) from a periodontist. Current medications, hereditary factors, oral hygiene compliance, contributing medical involvements and previous periodontal treatment are just some of the other factors that need to be considered. With modern advances in treatment, hopefully you will have other options.
