Effect on ??: I'm a little confused about your question, but will try my best. Police can and do become involved in intercepting suicides, and can save lives sometimes. When called by concerned others, they can make visits to a person's home . . . But sadly, they sometimes find tragedy. Their efforts may not reduce the total suicide rate, but i'm grateful that they do save at least some people.
