What's diference between flomax (tamsulosin) and advodart?

Different types. : Both medications are used to treat urinary symptoms related to benign prostatic enlargement. Flomax (tamsulosin) is an alpha-blocker, or agents that work on relaxing smooth muscle in the urinary tract to improve flow. Avodart (dutasteride) is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, which blocks the hormone (dht) that encourages growth of the prostate over time, the size of the prostate decreases.
