What are the treatments for pulmonary edema and is there a cure?

Underlying problem: There are many causes for pulmonary edema. For example cardiogenic pulm edema needs strict care to the function of the heart. Meds such as Lasix (furosemide) can help. But addressing the underlying cause is the answer.

Depends on cause: Most pulmonary edema is actually a cardiac issue and the treatment involves improving the heart's performance. Non-cardiac edema has many causes usually from inflammation caused by infection or trauma. It is not curable, but is treatable and can resolve without permanent injury in some cases.
