Swimmer's ears: Many times, if the ear canal is swollen or it is impacted by debris, your ENT will need to clear the debris and place a wick to help keep the antibiotic solution in contact with the infected skin; otherwise, it will take much longer for it to work. Lay on your side and have someone put 3-4 drops slowly in the exposed ear canal. Stay in that position for 5-10 minutes, then repeat on the other side.
