May: continue for a few days after use of ear drops. If no improvement in 3 to 4 days seek help

Fluid in ear: Even though you have finished the antibiotic drops for your swimmer's ear, the tissues will still need some healing time. The ear canal can remain moist and the sensation of fluid in the ear is common. I'd give it about a week to fully recover. If symptoms persist, or if you develop any return of pain or drainage, see you doctor right away. And remember, no Q-tips ever.
