Most likely yes.: The nerve that supplies sensation (pain, pressure etc) to your eardrum, the glossopharyngeal nerve, also supplies sensation to the throat. If the eardrum is irritated, this nerve sends pain signals to your brain which can interpret them as coming from any branch of that nerve. This is called "referred pain." These pain signals can also cause a headache which I think I too am getting right now!
