A term used to: Describe a collection of inflammatory cells and most commonly caused by an infection of tissue. Granulomas are commonly found in the lung tissue which most of the time is the result of fungal infection. There are different types of granulomas depending on which tissue they develop in and what infection caused the formation of granulomas. Overall, they are considered benign lesions.
