Do older women fear dental care for cosmetic reasons?

Cosmetic Dentistry: Cosmetic dentistry has matured well in the field of dentistry. Most experienced dentist can render great looking restorations. Porcelain veneers, all ceramic crowns and bridges can really improve the look of your smile. If there is a concern, you ask your dentist to place an interim restoration first so changes still can be made. Then the final restoration can be fabricated.

Cosmetic procedures: Cosmetic procedures in dentistry can be pain free. Some porcelain veneers can be done without novocain (procaine) and prepless, meaning no tooth structure is removed ! another procedure requiring no anesthetic or novocain (procaine)e is a partial denture called snap-on-smile. That and lumineers are good examples. Google them.

No need to: Modern dental care always includes an attractive cosmetic option. With today's comfortable techniques, there is no need to fear dental treatment at any age. I suspect that older women may sometimes fear dental care because they grew up in an age where dentistry was not always delivered in a caring manner. That has completely changed now. Read reviews to find a consistently great experience.

Not usually: A dentist should enhance the cosmetic outcome. I suppose people can fear anything but if you trust your dentist, their should be no reason for fear.

No: Patients in general who fear going to a dentist is usually a result of a bad childhood experience, and not for cosmetic reasons. Modern dentistry has changed the perception to going to dentist, in that techniques, including sedation, and compassionate, caring attitude of dentists make one's dental experience wonderful.
