A member asked:

What is the half life of inositol in plasma and the cns?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doesn't have one: As far as i can tell. Inositol is a sugar, and it is broken down in the stomach and first part of the intestines to simple sugars that are absorbed and then metabolized for energy in both the body and brain. I do not believe there is any free inositol that would enter the bloodstream or cross into the CNS as the parent sugar.
