what is an example of a good excercise to strengthen the muscles around a previously dislocated shoulder?

Physical Therapy: A good place to start is with a good pt. The goal is to have good muscle balance between the intrinsic shoulder stabilizers (rotator cuff) and extrinsic muscles that cross shoulder joint. Function of the muscles that control the position of the shoulder socket (scapular stabilizers) is also critical. A good home program designed by a pt is your best bet!
