Persistent guilt: If you know you didn't do anything wrong, you wouldn't have guilt. So if the guilt is persistent and distressing, seeing a psychologist or counselor could help you figure out why you have it and relieve it. Don't live with distress when you don't have to.

Guilt is a sign : It is a sign of depression too very easy to diagnose just get a consult.
