Myeloid and: Lymphoid refer to blood and marrow elements. Mri cannot greatly help, but can show marrow signal abnormalities. A bone marrow follows evaluation of a smear to discern type and yes no to leukemia, imaging not in the line up unless symptom point to a bone, .

No: However, there can be marrow changes seen on the MRI which makes one think of a bone marrow disorder. A diagnosis of a myeloproliferative disorder can be made by demonstrating bone marrow findings or confirming the presence of a jak2 mutation. Hope this helps.
