Varaible: There are 3 main types- essential thrombocytosis (et), polycythemia vera (pv) and myelofibrosis (mf). In et, there is increased clotting and risk for strokes. In pv, there is generalized itchiness, ruddy face, and stroke risk. In mf, patients get low blood counts over time causing fatigue, large spleen, poor appetite, abdomen pain, transfusion need.
