Not directly: Obviously, if you stop taking your oral anticoagulant medications for the surgery, that would affect the inr. But typically, a patient with a normal INR should not have clinically significant changes. In other words, any changes that occur may be measurable but not usually of practical importance. Some reports have suggested some alterations in response to the surgery though.
