Yes and no: You didn't mention why you were told that your gallbladder needed to be removed and that makes a big difference. No symptoms, usually no surgery. Abdominal pain, stone in bile duct, pancreatitis, jaundice, polyps, calcium in gallbladder wall, surgery needed. Without knowing why the gallbladder needed to be removed its impossible to advise you fully.

Having Attcks ??????: If you are asymptomatic and not having bouts of cholecystitis then leave it alone. Just because cholelithiasis (stones) doesn't mean you need to have a cholecystectomy, unless you are diabetic
