Consider ct scan: If the pain is severe, limiting your daily activities, and-or getting worse, consider a ct scan with oral contrast only. This could help determine if there was an abscess that could arise if some gallstones spilled out during the operation, which is not uncommon. Speak w/ your surgeon about this to determine if this is a possibility or not. Despite this, complications from spilled stones are rare.
