Slight risk: Straining soon after surgery could potentially tear out some internal sutures and lead to a hernia down the road. Symptoms for a hernia would be swelling or a lump in the wound and pain. If you have problems like this in the next few years get a doctor to check it. That said, the sutures are most likely fine.
