A member asked:

Is aura a normal migrane or something more serious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Part of the process: Migraine has three components. The more usual is the throbbing head pain which is usually on one side of the head. The other is autonomic features of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, pale, sweaty, blotchy appearance. The third is the "aura" with visual or sensory changes. Usual is black or colored spots in the vision. Numbness especially face and hand is common. More complex may occur.
