Dental School: Go to a local dental school - the treatment is substantially less expensive there. Also another option is www.Tomorrowssmiles.Org.

Good idea: Good for you for thinking of using your allowance money on a health improving cost. Most orthodontists have payment plans. In my practice, it is evaluated on a case by case basis, and i offer discounted rates to motivated and smart youths who want to participate (i can only speak for myself). Find an orthodontist who understands your situation. I like "how you roll"!

Options: Have an orthodontic consultation and ask about payment plans. Orthodontists have many creative payment options available. Treatment at a university dental school will be about half the cost of a private office. Many hospital dental departments also offer orthodontic services. Ask your dentist for available options in your area.
