Yes, fibroids: Most commonly uterine fibroids cause enlargement. They are smooth muscle growths that bind the female hormone extrogen causing enlargement and can run in families genetically. Most of the time(99%) they are benign, but can cause heavy menstrual bleeding, and pain.
