A member asked:

What are pros and cons to self-injection pain shots due to chronic migraines?!?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on type: It's unclear which type of self-injection pain shots you're referring to. Most subcutaneous injections of triptans are done in the office setting by the clinic staff. So are injections of narcotics (dilaudid), nsaids (toradol) or steroids. Maybe a question specifying the medicine can help.
