Anterior knee pain: Pf pain syndrome can occur from the knee cap tracking on the end if the thigh bone in some irregular fashion. It can be from cartilage wear, patellar or quad tendinitis, an alignment problem, a muscle imbalance, a patella ligament injury, a dislocation, and from over activity, or to aggressive deep knee bending and jumping. Picas are to tissue bands that form and catch as you bend your knee.

Physical therapy.: Physical therapy would be the first line of treatment. If the symptoms don't go away, a cortisone shot may be indicated. Last resort is surgery. Make sure that you're seeing a sports medicine orthopedic knee specialist.
