What is the difference between osgood schlatter disease and plica syndrome?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Knee Problems: Osgood schlatter's syndrome is prominence of the growth plate where the patella tendon attaches called the tibia tubercle. In some young patients it is prominent and painful. When the growth plate closes the pain usually subsides. Plica is a folding of tissue within the knee capsule. They usually are not symptomatic and most people never know they have a plica. Catching is one symptom.
