See a doctor: Generally, a physician can make this diagnosis. If you want, you can see an otolaryngologist(ent) who is specialized to treat this problem.

Get examined: See a plastic surgeon or otolaryngologist (ent doctor) for an examination. While almost nobody has a perfectly straight septum, it is pretty easy to tell on examination whether a deviated septum is causing you a problem. Good luck!

Have an ENT look: It is very easy for an ENT dooctor to see if you have a deviated septum. First, some spray is put in your nose to shrink the tissues and then looking with a good light and often a fiberoptic scope can tell if you have one and then how significant.

Septal deviation: This can only be determined by physical examination. Be sure to have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist.
