What are some alternative solutions other than psychotherapy?

Support, lifestyle: For many mental health problems, alternatives to psychotherapy can include having good outlets and support, such as friends, family, hobbies, exercise, church, and social groups. Maintaining a healthy diet and healthy outlook are important. Depending on the problem medication can be helpful as well.

Try these: Vigorous, frequent exercise; going (or going back) to church, etc and genuinely investing yourself to worship, serve and learn; volunteer your skills and strengths to help a cause that addresses the suffering of people; learn a new language and travel to the country to practice; finally do the job/career you've wanted to do but hav(life goes by fast), reconcile with friends or family; be mindful

Meds up to a point: Medications can work up to a point to manage emotional difficulties, but the optimal combination is meds and psychotherapy (and there are many different kinds of psychotherapy). You have to find the one that works for you. I would suggest psychodynamic psychotherapy or psychoanalysis.
