A member asked:

How can a cracked skull and bruised brain be treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Non surgical: Depending on the force of the trauma, skull fractures can be associated with bruising or contusion of the underlying brain. Simple skull fractures with small amount of bruising can be left alone and will heal with time. Fractures that break through the scalp, sunken into the brain and causing injury, extensive bruising may need surgery.
