A member asked:

Besides x-rays and cat scans to check for brain damage, can a doctor go any type of surgery for a cracked skull?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unless: The skull fracture is depressed, exposed to the air, or pushing on the underlying brain the usual course of action is to do nothing and let the skull heal. As you mentioned, the real issue is whether the underlying brain was damaged.
