Blood pressure: Measured using an arm cuff and a pressure meter, a stethoscope is used to listen when sounds appear and muffle to designate systolic and diastolic pressure. In the cath lab, an intravascular manometer is able to be used.

How is BP measured?: 49:Asks how is blood pressure measured? The gold standard is by the auscultatory method. No other method is yet as accurate. BP is almost never measured in the clinic correctly. Here is what should happen: your arm circum is measured to select cuff size, rest 5 min, never on the exam table but in a chair, Both arms 1st visit then highest. Center of cuff at heart level. 3 readings and average last
