A member asked:

If blood pressure is measured while standing up, should it be more or less if taken while sitting down?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood pressure: If blood pressure is taken standing, it will usually be lower than sitting or supine blood pressure. We usually do it sitting with feet flat on the floor. This is mainly for consistently. If you want to always take BP standing, then you should compare standing to standing.
