Normal below 100: The normal blood glucose range is the same in a diabetic patient as in anyone else - below 100. This is the goal that we generally aim for in treating patients. Often, however, patients blood sugars will be higher than this.

Ranges: Normal blood sugars run under 100 fasting. Anything over 128 is considered diabetes. Between 100- 120 is considered fairly reasonable control for most diabetics.Oftentimes people on oral medication are controlled better than people on insulin. Only your doctor can give you the range that is right for you because there are many factors involved on our target selection.
