Ask first: You had surgery inside you nose 10 days ago and you want to put something in there. It would be advisable to ask your surgeon rather than an internet message board. A neti pot can mean different things to different people. A true neti pot you sniff the saline through your nostril and it may be ok. Some people use a squeeze bottle to forcefully push the saline through and that might not be ok.

I'd say NO: Most neti pots involve irrigation of warm saline into one nostril and out the other, bathing the nasal septum and sinus openings in saline. A not-yet-healed septoplasty (10 days po) is not able to withstand this, and your congestion is from surgery anyway. A neti pot will not speed healing, and may disrupt it. You don't want a septal perforation! ask your surgeon, who i'll bet will agree with me!

Yes: A netti pot or saline rinse is good method after septoplasty surgery to help reduce swelling, clean mucous, and moisten crusts that normally develops after nasal surgery. Follow your nasal surgeons care instructions to maximize your results.
