Rest & nSAID's: Most rotator cuff injuries involve inflammation of the bursa and tendon. Rest and anti-inflammatory medications are great at reducing symptoms. If pain is persistent with activities, or progresses to rest and/or night pain, see a board certified orthopaedic surgeon for further evaluation and treatment. A full thickness rotator cuff tear will require an arthroscopic repair.
