See below: It's really impossible to say here. It depends on the severity of the injury, where it is located, other injuries, what your physical condition is, how old the injury is, what treatments and rehab exercises are done, etc. It can be days, weeks or even months before full recovery. Please check with your doc, consider physical therapy, follow the recommendations carefully. Take care.

Depends: Avoid anti-inflammatory medications for a ligament injury. The body's own inflammation can help healing. If you take Ibuprofen type medications, no repair of ligament to bone occurs and muscle pain syndromes are common and long term. Seek a prolotherapy trained physician to help treat old ligament injuries. Healing is possible, even if late. Surgical fixation doesn't give back flexibility.
